Administrators were appointed to the Bowdon-registered housebuilder on 16 July, the Gazette records. What it means for creditors, buyers and subcontractors.

A housebuilding company registered on Stamford Road in Bowdon has gone into administration. Administrators were appointed to The Harvey Homes Group Ltd on 16 July 2026, according to the notice entered on the official public record, which was published on 6 August. The notice names James Saunders (IP number 17550) and Mark Blackman (IP number 29630) of KR8 Advisory Limited, The Lexicon, 10-12 Mount Street, Manchester M2 5NT as the joint administrators. The case sits in the High Court of Justice, Business and Property Courts in Manchester, Insolvency and Companies List, under court number CR-2026-MAN-000948. The company’s registered office is given as 7 Stamford Road, Bowdon, Altrincham WA14 2JT, and its stated trade is the construction of commercial and domestic buildings.

What the register shows, and what it does not

The company was incorporated on 30 January 2017 under the name NHR (Lower Peover) Ltd, and took its present name in March 2018. Its Companies House record lists two standard industrial classifications, 41201 and 41202, for the construction of commercial buildings and of domestic buildings. The last accounts on file were made up to 31 March 2025 and were filed on 30 December 2025 as total exemption full accounts, a category used by smaller companies. The next set, for the year to 31 March 2026, is not due until 31 December 2026, so there is no published account of the company’s final trading year. The most recent filing of any kind is a confirmation statement made on 29 January 2026.

Two charges, a form of security usually granted to a lender, were created on 10 April 2025 and registered later that month. Both were recorded as satisfied in full on 11 March 2026, four months before the administrators were appointed. (Filing history, Companies House)

One thing to be plain about: as of today the Companies House register still shows the company’s status as active and carries no administration document in its filing history, even though the appointment was made on 16 July and published in the Gazette on 6 August. Registers lag. The Gazette notice is the formal public record of the appointment, and that is what this report rests on.

The wider group is a separate question

The Bowdon address is a busy one. A Companies House search of 7 Stamford Road returns twelve companies, eleven of them currently active and one dissolved back in 2013. The active list includes RP Group Limited, Harvey Homes (Investments) Limited, RPG (Construction) Limited, RPG (Contracts) Limited and RPG Strategic Land Limited, all shown as active on the register today. RP Group, which trades from the same address, describes itself on its own website as “an ambitious family business that is dedicated to transforming forgotten land and regenerating dilapidated buildings to create vibrant communities”, and lists Harvey Homes among its brands. The developments it names include Swan Green at Lower Peover near Knutsford, given as 30 homes, along with schemes called Towers Road, The Hubb and The Parade, and a commercial list that includes work at Sainsbury’s in Urmston. (RP Group developments) The public record does not say which of those sat inside the company now in administration, and we are not going to guess.

What it means for you

Administration is not the same as a company being closed down and struck off. It is a formal insolvency process in which the appointed administrators take control and are required to work towards a statutory purpose, which may include rescuing the business, getting a better result for creditors than winding up would, or realising property to pay secured and preferential creditors.

If you are owed money, the practical step is to contact the administrators rather than the company. The notice publishes case enquiries at caseenquiries@kr8.co.uk and a telephone number of 0161 504 9799. Subcontractors and suppliers in the building trade are usually unsecured creditors, which means they rank behind secured lenders and preferential claims, and they should expect to be asked to submit a claim with supporting paperwork. Administrators must send their proposals to creditors, and that document is the first place a full picture of what is owed and what is likely to be recovered will appear. If you have reserved or exchanged on a new home built by any company in this group, take your own legal advice on where your deposit sits and whether it is protected, and ask your conveyancer to check the position with the administrators directly. Do not rely on a marketing website staying accurate during an insolvency.

The company and its administrators are entitled to respond to anything in this report, and we will publish a correction or their statement if they do. Nothing here suggests wrongdoing by anyone: an administration appointment is a recorded fact about a company’s finances, not a finding against any individual.
